This season our staff will be waiting for you at Punta Sam port, our red stand is located near the parking area, in front of the main building “Terminal Maritima Punta Sam”, look for Gina, and provide her with your full name.
She will provide you the name of the boat assigned for the tour, and the guide who will be assisting you in the entire boat trip.
The port opens at 7:00 AM, and you must be there at 7:30 AM in order to get all the guidelines and instructions for the tour, if you arrive by car the cost of the parking area is $15 Mexican pesos per hour.
IMPORTANT: The port fee and Whale shark natural park entrance must be paid in cash according to federal government, Gina will assist you with this, the total cost of both is USD 30 per person, there are no ATMs at the port, bring cash.
The use of sunblock is restricted as you will be swimming at the whale shark natural protected area, you can use biodegradable sunblock, and must be used arriving at the port.
With Gina, you can rent neoprene suits or underwater cameras.
