Reservation and Cancellation Policies
Cancellation for 1 day tours
Cancellations made 5 days before the tour date will result in a 100% refund of the reservation.
Cancellations made from 2 to 4 days before the tour date will result in a 75% refund of the reservation.
Cancellations made 1 day before the tour date will return 50% of the reservation.
Reservations canceled 12 hours before hotel pickup time on the tour day or “no-shows” will apply NO REFUND.
To proceed with the reimbursement should be made via e-mail to info@contoyexcursions.com or by phone within the specified period.
Lodging, transportation, and other services subcontracted by Contoy Excursions will be ruled by the cancelation policies of such companies.
Cancellation for more than 1 day trip
These cancelation policies apply on trips with more than 1 day, where a previous trip agreement has been done, in which we will provide guiding services, lodging, tour activities, and transportation for several days.
From the day we have an agreement on a trip with our customers, we start booking lodging, tour activities, guiding services, and transportation, making the payments in advance to guarantee these services for the trip.
If you decide to cancel the tour at least 20 days before the trip and if we have not made any payment in advance of lodging, guiding, and any agreed service, we will return the 100% reservation at no charge.
Otherwise, the refund will be the result of the total amount you paid in the reservation, less the payments in advance realized for trip services agreed.
Cancellations made 15 days before the trip date will result in a 70% refund of the reservation, less the payments in advance realized for trip services agreed.
Cancellations made 7 days before the tour date will result in a 50% refund of the reservation, less the payments in advance realized for trip services agreed.
Canceling due 2 days before the trip starting date will apply to no refund.
To request a reimbursement, please send an email to info@contoyexcursions.com or contact us by phone within the specified period.
Please note that reservations canceled 48 hours before the scheduled hotel pickup time on the tour day or “no-shows” will not be eligible for a refund.
For lodging, transportation, and other services subcontracted by Contoy Excursions, the cancellation policies of those respective companies will apply.
Bad weather conditions
A last-minute cancelation caused by local bad weather conditions, any local natural disaster, or any emergency restriction on the tour area, will be refunded 100% of the amount.
Amount Refund
After 24 hours of any payment, Paypal automatically transfers the money to our Mexican bank, as a Tax rule established by the Mexican Government, which results in a tax discount on the amount we receive in Mexico. Refund process with less than 24 hours Will did not apply any discount to the total amount, otherwise, 16% could be discounted from Mexican taxes. The refund of any payment Will be processed through Paypal and takes from 4 to 7 business days.
Force Majeure:
Neither Contoy Excursions nor any other related, affiliated, associated, or otherwise connected corporations, partnerships, individuals, and other entities and all of their respective officers, directors employees, contractors, agents, successors, and assigns (collectively, the“Releasees”) will hold responsibility from any costs (including, without limitation, actual legal costs), claims, demands, actions, causes of action and liabilities whatsoever for any losses, damages, death or injuries to persons or loss of property, which may be sustained by us in connection with or in any way relating to any of our trips, due to any cause or reason whatsoever including, without limitation, the reckless, willful or negligent actions or omissions of the Releases or any other person or persons.
No responsibility will be held to Contoy Excursions for acts of God, for weather changes, political disturbance, commercial or social issues, war disturbs, demonstrations, roadblocks, or causes of force majeure which might affect the operation of any of our services for being out of our control. We will do our best to substitute and/or compensate for any activity that due to any of these situations could be omitted. However, you understand and are set free of any responsibility to Servicios Turisticos CCM S.A. de C.V., Contoy Excursions, and nor any other related, affiliated, associated or otherwise connected corporations, partnerships, individuals and other entities and all of their respective officers, directors employees, contractors, agents, successors and assigns (collectively, the“Releasees”) of any claim, reimbursement, change, cancelation, inconveniences, accidents, wounds, diseases, insects bites, animal attack, physical or material loses affecting your person, patrimony or even death which could happen on any of our activities. You understand that participation in any of our services involves risks (and rewards) above and beyond those encountered on a more conventional tour due to the nature and characteristics of our activities.
Contoy Excursions will reserve the right of admission to any of our activities and/or services to any person due to inconvenience related to alcohol abuse, drugs, disease, refusal of COVI-19 measures, or any other condition which to our sole criteria we may consider inadequate to start or continue with the activity without any partial or total reimbursement
Reservations online commission fee
Our online website uses WeTravel to process the booking and payment process, this adds an extra comisión fee of 4.5 % to the total amount.
